With so many hair extension companies competing in the same market, it can be pretty frustrating for the consumer to decide, which brand should you trust and which to ignore.
However, when it comes to seamless and soft tape-in extensions, here are some of the tips that should help you to make the right choice (if you don’t feel like reading the whole list, we recommend going for these tape-ins):
Seamless Tape-In Extensions – Considerations
– For the extensions to feel seamless, they must be made of the real Remy human hair. Please note that some suppliers mix human hair with animal hair but that’s another story that we covered last month, see: the dirty hair extension business secrets.
– For the extensions to actually be seamless, they should include transparent rather than the regular tape. If you never heard about such tape in the first place, see our regular vs. transparent tape article.
– If the seller in confident in its tape-in extensions, they will offer a money back guarantee. Otherwise, consider a different supplier.
Having said all that, Wigsbeautymall is the company that matches all these factors, not to mention the free worldwide shipping. Wondering how much they cost? As of today, the seamless tape-in extensions are having a blowout sale, so get shopping!

Enhance Your Locks With Easy Clip-in Hair
If you're into alternating temporary low-maintenance looks, you'll love the simplicity of clip-on hair extensions. Just insert WigsBeautyMall layers quickly in the morning to make your natural locks longer and fuller. Detach them easily at night. Change your hairdo rapidly anytime. Shampoo and style your rooted and supplemental tresses separately as needed. Sounds ideal? Then review the tricks below.
Selection Criteria
You're the only person who should know that you're wearing extensions. To avoid telltale signs, choose quality human hair for a more natural look than synthetics. Refer to the WigsBeautyMall selection guide for help picking the appropriate length and weight for your clip ins.
Choose the color from the online chart that's most like your personal shade. If no available option matches perfectly, realize that your actual roots and ends vary visually. Flip your tips up to the top of your head to notice the difference. Then order a tone that blends in with your own color range.
Find a hair texture that matches your existing type (straight, wavy, curly, etc.). Avoid consistency variations that create fake, uneven looks. Select the WigsBeautyMall quality/price point ratio that suits you best. To place your order for 100-percent real clip-on hair extensions with free shipping, indicate the quantity.
Attachment Steps
Clip-in sets of hair curtains come in multiple widths with one to four fasteners. Follow these application steps:
Curl your natural hair: Create loose random waves with a curling iron. Strive for added volume, not perfectly styled locks. (Remember to use a heat-protection spray or cream on both your hair and the extensions before curling.)
Untangle and curl extensions: Remove knots from all sections with a broad-bristle brush or wide-tooth comb. Hold clip end tightly in one hand. Curl small portions with your hot tool. Or snap a piece in some head location temporarily where you can style it more easily. Then detach it for later use.
Place panels on flat surface: Let WigsBeautyMall curls cool and set. To prevent ringlets from loosening, spritz them with hairspray.
Apply back sections in rows: Make a part crossing the back of your head horizontally. Secure natural tresses in a claw clip on the top of your head to get them out of the way. Place full-width extensions with fastening teeth facing toward your scalp. Just under the part line, attach far right clasp near your ear, affix one or two middle clips, and snap the remaining far left one near the other ear. Release hair on the top of your head. Depending on the number of sections in your set, create one or more rows higher than the first. Repeat the side-to-side gripping pattern until you've clamped all back panels.
Add smaller remaining extensions: Position and affix narrow two- and one-clip strips to fill in empty spaces. Concentrate on areas under back part ends and both sides to ensure overall volume consistency.
Brush to blend: After clipping in all layers, brushing the ends will blend your rooted and WigsBeautyMall. Curl any stray strands so you can't recognize your natural ones from the extensions.
Removal Process
You should remove your extensions every night before you go to bed in order to keep your extensions in good condition. After all, buying clip-in extensions means you don't have to wear them all the time so you can give your head a rest while you sleep.
Create a part that exposes the highest layer on your head. Carefully pull on each comb holding the top row of extensions to remove from your hair. Be careful not to pull right on the extension hair or get it tangled with your own hair. Be careful not to yank on your own locks. Repeat that process, moving downward until you've detached all clips.
Washing Tips
Your clip-in extensions won't get as dirty as quickly as your normal hair, or like more-permanent extensions. We recommend that you wash them ever 15 to 20 wears, or when there is too much product buildup.
When you're ready to wash your extensions, start by detangling loose extensions. Your regular shampooing and conditioning products will cleanse and refresh your WigsBeautyMall. Holding clips, dip hair into lukewarm water from the ends. Don't wet threads securing attachments to avoid loosening the grips. Apply cleaning formula in downward motions to remove dirt along with excess oil. Rinse and repeat until water looks clear.
After spreading conditioner in a descending fashion, wait 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing. Air dry to prevent heat damage from blow-drying. Hang panels or place them flat on absorbent towels. Brush slightly extensions gently only once they are dry.
Maintenance Routine
You can reuse our semi-permanent clip-on additions as often as you wish. If you insert and remove your WigsBeautyMall frequently, maintaining your clip-in human hair extensions is vital. Store strips flat in the original packaging to avoid creases and tangles. Sew loose fasteners onto hair sections with color-coordinated thread. Before reapplying, brush extensions gently. Re-curl as necessary to achieve your desired look.

DIY Hair Lightening Tricks
Spice It Up
If you're new to the DIY life or just don't feel comfortable experimenting with your hair in a big way, this is the easiest –read, safest– way to try something new without going the whole hog.
The fastest way to changing your hair color naturally is with a quick trip to the kitchen. Yep, all you need is an innocuous little ingredient found in all homes: cinnamon.
A cinnamon hair mask is a great step for DIY beginners: the mask will lighten your hair but very minimally so, which means you don't have to worry about facing a whole other person in the mirror later.
The changes are subtle and gradual, so if you're not pleased with the method you can quit any time and that’s that.
All you have to do is dissolve a teaspoon of cinnamon in some water until you reach a paste-like consistency. Begin by wetting your hair in the shower and working a conditioner onto your hair. Once all your hair is coated, spread the cinnamon paste onto your hair, without rinsing the conditioner off. The conditioner gives the mask something to adhere to. Pull on a shower cap and let the mixture sit on your hair for a minimum of six hours. If you're game, leaving it on overnight works best. Once enough time has passed just rinse your hair clean and you’re done!
USP: Richer hair color with yummy-smelling locks. And cinnamon masks help with hair growth!
Babes And Brews
This is possibly one of the oldest natural hair lightening tricks known to beauty enthusiasts the world over. Using a tea brew is a time-tested way of experimenting with hair color naturally.
All you have to do is boil some water, pour it into a mug, add a tea bag and let it steep for around ten minutes. Once the mixture has cooled, slowly pour it over your hair, making sure the rinse coats all your hair.
Let the rinse sit overnight and then simply wash it out the next day.
You can use this technique as many times you like. I do recommend using a chamomile tea because it works wonders on the hair without stripping it off its natural oils. The mix works beautifully on dark hair, giving it a luminous sheen and adding tonality to the tresses.
USP: The chamomile hair rinse has some serious anti-dandruff properties and it works well with dyed hair, so you don't have to worry about ruining your color.
Spirited Ways
Speaking of brews, here's another concoction you can use to lighten your hair naturally at home. This one involves a walk to yet another part of the house: the bar!
Here's how you put this bad boy together: add one part vodka for two parts seltzer into a container and mix it well. For ease of application I recommend storing it in a spray bottle.
Then all you have to do is spray the mix onto your hair, making sure you coat all of it.
And it just gets better from here: step out into the sun and spend some time soaking in the rays. While you relax, the vodkas crystal blue body will work to remove brassy tones from your hair and the combination of the sun’s heat and the alcohol will bring out the hair color pigment. Think of it as a means to amping up your natural hair color and adding some serious dimension to your locks.
USP: Vodka-based hair remedies can be used for tons of concerns, from hair to dandruff!
When Life Gives You Lemons
All those hours you spent at the beach trying to get those perfect sun-kissed highlights and the secret was right there in your pantry: lemons!
Of all the ways in which you can use lemons for hair, this is my favorite. You can actually add highlights to your hair with a DIY lemon hair mask. It’s as simple as using a lemon wedge and running it over the areas you want to lighten. You know how your stylist will carefully color some sections while leaving the rest untouched?
Just mimic that action with the lemon instead. To start out, use the technique on strands close to the face (this really opens the face up) and the crown because these are the most visible, even in updos and braids.
If you want to lighten all your hair, create a rinse by dissolving 2 tablespoons of lemon juice in a glass of warm water and running the same through your hair. Spend time in the sun, letting the rinse dry. Wash it off and follow up with a replenishing hair treatment because the citric acid can leave your hair feeling slightly parched.
USP: It's really easy to achieve a high degree of control while painting on highlights with lemon slices: none of the box color kit stress here!

Styling Hacks For Thin Hair
Living with fine/ thinning hair can be extremely trying, especially if you're passionate about all things beauty and hairstyling. If you've often found yourself pining away after photos of thick braids and voluminous updos, it's time to rejoice. With my hair hacks, you can now style thin hair and enjoy the same fabulous results as everyone else.
1.Use Lightweight Products
Using the right styling products is key to getting any hairstyle right. However, with thin/ thinning hair, choosing the right products can be a challenge in itself. Regular products will weigh your hair down, making it greasy and/or limp. Look for lightweight, volumizing products. These will make hair strands softer and plumper, giving you weightless body and movement without adding bulk to your hair.
2.The Long And Short Of It
You might be tempted to rock a Rapunzel-esque braid, but let's get real for a moment: super-long cuts and hairos simply don't work in very fine hair. Long hair needs to be able to support its own weight, especially if you plan to wear it in updos and other unique hairstyles. Even if you manage to grow your hair long, it'll become brittle in no time and start fraying and looking limp. Long hair needs major natural volume. What you can do is wear your hair in shorter/ medium lengths and add layers to create volume. Feathered-out cuts can be a godsend for fine hair and you can still rock braids, updos and whatnot. And if you do need major lengths sometimes, there are always hair extensions to turn to.
3.Blow-dry For Your Hair Type
For starters, if you have very thin hair, I don't recommend using a blow-dryer daily. It can dry your hair out though using an ionic/ tourmaline dryer can help with that. Picking the appropriate styling tools can help minimize damage and frustration.
Before blow-drying work a volumizing styling mousse into your hair for some lightweight volume and dependable hold. Then flip your hair upside down and direct the air at the roots. This will create tons of volume.
4.Avoid Products That Dry The Hair Out
Steer clear of products that contain sodium lauryl sulfate or ammonium lauryl sulfate. Ingredients such as drying alcohols, polymers, ammonia and detergents are the reason why traditional hair cleansers lather up and feel so creamy and powerful, but in truth, they're stripping your scalp and hair of natural (and very essential) oils. While they're damaging to all hair types, thin hair can look exceptionally scraggly and have absolutely no strength after being treated to such products. Look for SLS-free/ organic shampoos or try a DIY shampoo recipe.
5.Crowning Glory
A root-lifting product and a teasing comb can be your best friends when you have thin hair. Look for hairstyles with volume at the crown.Anything with a bump/ beehive/ bouffant is recommend. Not only do these hairstyles create the illusion of more hair, they're also easier to style (and lighter to wear) in fine hair.
6.Fringe Benefits
A receding hairline can be one of the hardest things to get used to in life, and is also one of the most common hair woes associated with fine/ thinning hair. One of the best ways to disguise the problem is by asking your stylist to cut short, blunt bangs. These create a thick, rounded-out fringe which adds volume at the hairline.
7.Don't Straighten Your Hair
Straight hair, by virtue of its texture, sits flat. This means it invariably looks thinner, as compared to other hair textures. Curls always look most voluminous, but other hair textures can also look good. If your hair is naturally straight, consider using foam rollers or diffusers while drying to change your hair texture. If not, steer clear of the flat iron.
8.Plump Braids With Pancaking
It can be frustrating to create an intricate braid only to have it look flat and thin. But with the pancaking technique, you can fake thicker, bigger braids in no time at all. Simply tug on the loops of a braid gently, pulling it out to fluff it up a bit. Instant volume! Go ahead and try at least one braid today.
9.Parting Ways
If you've got sparse hair, avoid parting your hair. A clean part can add crispness to a look but it can also expose thinning if you end up showing a lot of scalp. Hairstyles that don't feature parts typically involve volume at the crown, messy texture or just simply end up looking like there's more hair because more area is covered. And if you do want to wear a hairstyle with a part, switch things up by taking it to the opposite side: over time hair flattens out on the side you normally wear your part and flipping it over can create some lift at the roots.

Hot Hair Color Trends for 2016
Trend spotting is great, but what if you could get in on the biggest trends of the year before everyone else? Want the inside scoop on 2016's hottest hair color trends? Read on to find out what's on the color menu.
Rose Gold
The rose gold hair color trend continues to shine strong this year. It's the perfect balance between pastel/ rainbow hair color trends and more solid washes. It's bold, but delicate. It's unicolor but dimensional. And it's edgy without being niche. Contrary to popular belief, the rose gold trend can be worn in a variety of shades, ranging from the very pale pink hue for blonde bases to a deeper, more sunset-pink for darker bases.
It wears well and looks charming even as it fades, so you don't have to touchup very often. And the best part? The color works with every skin tone.
Get rose-ready quick because the rose gold hair color trend is going to be one of Spring 2016's biggest hair color trends.
California Blonde
We’ve seen so many iterations of blonde balayage and ombré over the last two years that it’s hard to get psyched up over yet another blonde-based trend, but this one’s breaking the mold. How? Because it’s taking back everything artificial and obvious and replacing it with the real sun-kissed, faded-by-nature-and-not-by-dye effect. It's not a uniform blonde trend: it's a blonde that's perfect for your skin tone, adapted to the individual and offset with natural highlights and lowlights and a gradient to die for.
Get in the mood for warm weather with this one. Think beach volleyball, the perfect tan and margaritas by the shore.
Steel
Does the idea of black-and-blue worry you? Think again. We're talking the most fabulously edgy take on the Goth hair trend that turns up every couple of years. Think sapphires. Granite in the light. The color of midnight.
This one's especially suited for black-haired beauties but you can always go dark if your natural/current base is light. We work with a black base and add hints of steel blue to create a marriage of charcoal and Prussian blue.
Imagine the might sky, backlit by its own essence. Your very own inky canvas.
Whoever said that blue was for the boy is definitely missing out on 2016's hottest hair color trend. This lovely take on the trend is by Hugo Salon in Kensington, MD.
Violet
A bold choice, this. But beautiful in an otherworldly way. What makes this color so magical is that it strikes the perfect balance between the two Pantone 2016 colors: Rose Quartz (soft, almost powdery blue) and Serenity (pale pink). The colors of the sky at daybreak and early sunset.
Mix Serenity and Rose Quartz and you get a muted, sophisticated purple. Wear alone or as a wash over a grey base for a tone-in-tone effect.
Bold Violet
If violet is a little too subtle for your taste, you can try a more vibrant take on the hue. This bold color is on-trend, but not for the faint of heart.
Melting Chocolate
Looking for something a little more classic? The old school, chocolate brown is going to be big this year- and not just for fall. What's new, you ask? Well, we're looking at a yummy favorite, but to spice things up we're adding warmer undertones. It’s the perfect hue for olive skin tones but also works marvelously with other skin tones. Make sure you ask your stylist for warm undertones (think amber for a lighter wash or mahogany for a deeper tone) or you'll end up with a chestnut brown hue.
That said, brown in general is one of the most universally flattering hair colors, so you can pick between any number of brunette hair color options.
This year's hair color trends are breaking the barriers between the conventional colors assigned to the seasons. These trends can be worn anytime through the year, and if you’re feeling adventurous I recommend giving all of them a shot!

Are Hair Extensions Bad for Your Hair?
From hair loss to headaches, be it for thin or thick hair, there is an underlying opinion that hair extensions are not safe and pretty much bad for your hair. However, before holding into this opinion, one must first find out, if the actual extensions damage your hair or is it the incorrect and poor fusion methods that are to blame.
Do Hair Extensions Damage Your Hair?
If you are using them properly then no, hair extensions should not damage your hair. It's like anything else in life, even applying makeup on your face. Sure, there are some chemicals but if you are not going over the top, then there is nothing you should worry about.
The biggest issue with hair extensions is not the extensions but people that are handing them. Be it from inexperienced stylists that damage your hair or from super heavy hair sets that do indeed cause headaches / scalp pain and even hair loss. For more on which weight hair extensions you should get, please see our buying guide (hint: it's no more than 160g).
However, there are some methods that are “designed” to “damage” your hair, for example: keratin hair extensions, that are attached by melting the natural hair protein (keratin), will certainly leave a mark on your hair but as far as we are concerned, the only real damage that we count as damage is hair loss or thinner hair (most of the time it's a direct result of applying various chemicals onto hair to remove the extensions).
What Are the Safest Hair Extensions?
The safest hair extensions that we recommend and that have the lowest amount of “risk” is clip-ins. If you don’t feel comfortable wearing them and are getting headaches (could also be due to the low quality clips), all you need to do is spend few more minutes adjusting them and the issue disappears.
You don’t even need a stylist to apply them and in case you decide to go with highest quality clip-ins (from Wigsbeautymall), you can always pick just the correct weight, from 50 to 160 grams.
Hopefully, you now have a much better understanding on whether or not hair extensions are safe to use and whether or not they damage your hair.

How Long Do Tape-in Hair Extensions Last?
Whether you have already decided on buying tape-in hair extensions or not, there are few factors that one should know. Yes, we are talking about the lifespan of hair extensions.
How Long Do Tape-Ins Last?
The average lifespan of tape-in hair extensions is around 3-6 months. This assumes that you are using the high quality (and real Remy human hair) extensions (as sold by Wigsbeautymall) and high grade double sided tape.
How to Extend the Lifespan of Tape-in Hair Extensions?
The first one is pretty easy to do: since these extensions are attached using a tape, which may peel off, get some double sided tape (can be bought here with free shipping). This will allow you to re-attach and re-apply extensions when needed.
When it comes to extensions care, there are some things that you can do, including: applying hair conditioner, letting hair dry naturally and more. Going back to the example above, since Wigsbeautymall extensions are made of the real Remy human hair, you should treat them just like you would your own hair.
So while we say that these extensions last around 3-6 months, it does not mean that they won’t be damaged within first month by constant over-drying, hair straightening using bad temperatures and so on. Some of our clients have actually managed to extend the tape-in hair extensions lifespan by few months, making a total closer to 8 months. It’s all up to you.

7 Best Ingredients for Homemade Remedies for Damaged Hair or Extensions
Many of us are suffering from dry and damaged hair. It can be a result of dying your hair often, too much exposure to the sun, lack of vitamins in your hair, using hot tools on your hair, or simply not properly caring for your hair. Of course, everybody would like to have perfect, shiny, healthy and voluminous hair, but sometimes that’s just not the case. There are many different products you can buy to treat your damaged hair and even some procedures your hairdresser offers but those are often very expensive. That’s why many people turn towards more natural, homemade remedies that are much cheaper and don’t include going to a professional because they are easy to make and apply to your hair. So if you want to restore health of your hair, take a look at these ingredients that you can use to make your own homemade remedies and your hair will be beautiful in no time!
Olive Oil
Olive oil is the go-to base ingredient for DIY homemade recipes for hair. It is rich in anti oxidants and vitamin A and E which helps combat DHC, the hormone that wears down the hair follicles and leads to hair loss. Overall, olive oil helps protect keratin which is a natural protein that makes up most of hair and it also helps with moisturizing your hair. You can use olive oil as a mask that you rinse out or you can heat it up and make a hot olive oil mask. You can also just put a few drops on your split ends to help with dryness and your styling as well. Olive oil can also be used as a base for your homemade remedies and you can add other ingredients in to make your own hair mask.
Jojoba Oil
Jojoba oil is somewhat similar to your hair’s natural oil. It protects the scalp from irritation and bacteria. Plus, jojoba oil is full of saturated and mono-saturated fats for ultimate moisturizing, especially if you heat it up for a hot oil hair or extensions mask treatment. It also fights dandruff and promotes hair growth.
Eggs
Another popular home remedy for damaged hair is eggs. They are loaded with protein which helps hair growth and can also help to straighten your hair. Obviously, eggs in your hair is one of those treatments that you really want to be sure that you completely wash out.
Mayonnaise
You can mix previous ingredients, eggs and oils, to create the perfect homemade remedy for your hair, but you can also simply use mayonnaise because it already includes all of those ingredients and many more. That’s why it is so great because you get a ton of benefits with only one product that you definitely have at home. Mayonnaise is like a classic hair mask because it provides deep nourishment, it softens strands, and it can even help protect from the future use of harmful styling products. Mayonnaise is full of omega fatty acids which is really good for moisturizing and the vinegar in it can help restore pH balance to hair which helps promote overall hair health. Simply put mayonnaise on your hair, let it sit for 30 minutes and make sure to thoroughly wash it out.
Avocado
We all know how tasty avocados are, but did you ever think you can use them for your hair extensions? Avocados are full of so many vitamins like A, D, E, B6, plus proteins, amino acids and a whole lot of other healthy substances. Avocado can help moisturize your hair, promote new growth, prevent dandruff and revitalize your hair. You can simply mash them up, maybe add some olive oil or jojoba oil and you got yourself an awesome homemade remedy for your hair.
Honey
This is another great ingredient that is usually mixed with other ingredients to create a healthy treatment for damaged hair. Honey is full of vitamins and minerals so it adds shine and volume to hair (just like hair extensions would), smooth strands and it can even strengthen hair follicles. It has antibacterial properties and attracts moisture.
Yogurt
This is also a very healthy ingredient for your homemade remedy; it can be a very good base in which you can add all other ingredients. It is full of different vitamins, protein and moisture friendly properties. Yogurt can help nourish your hair and simply make it shiny and beautiful.
So all of those are the great ingredients you can find in your home. You can mix them up however you want or use them individually, but you will definitely see the improvement on your hair!

How Long or Short Should Your Hair Be for Hair Extensions?
Ah, the age old question on whether or not your hair is long enough to apply hair extensions. For women with short (or accidentally damaged) hair who want to change their look, the answer can make it or break it, and today, we give you the answers.
If you are rocking an extremely short haircut (either by choice or not), then here are your options that you should consider (click on the name to reserve your hair extensions today and transform from a beauty with short hairstyle to a princess with long and spectacular hair):
Clip-in hair extensions: 3 – 4 inch (7 – 10 cm) length hair will be be enough. The hair length is required to cover the clip base.
Tape-in hair extensions: ~3 inch (7 cm) length hair should be enough if you are using the invisible tape.
Keratin hair extensions: ~2.5 – 4 (6 – 10 cm) length hair is what you need for Keratin extension. If you are wondering why such big difference between the lowest and highest value, it’s because these extensions are applied using the hot fusion method and it all depends on the skill of the stylist.
Micro ring loop extensions: 2.5 – 4 (4 – 10 cm) length hair is preferred for extensions using loop rings.
Stick tip extensions: ~2.5 – 4 (6 – 10 cm) length hair. Just like with Keratin extensions, it all depends on your stylist and its ability to fuse extensions with short hair in a way that is comfortable.
Weave / wefts: 3 – 5 inch (7 – 12 cm) length hair is the ideal for sewed in and other similar extensions.
So what did we learn today? The length of hair, or how long it should be for hair extensions, depends on the attachment type and your hair stylist. Personally, for short hair I would go with either tape-in or clip-in extensions.

What Are the Advantages and Disadvantages of Virgin Remy Hair Extensions?
And why they are not necessary better than the non-virgin counterparts.
Yes, it's that time again when we do a versus post and compare virgin vs. Remy hair extensions and here is what you need to know.
What Are Virgin Hair Extensions?
Most people in the industry (at least in the marketing department) classify virgin hair as the highest possible quality hair. Basically, to be classified as virgin hair, it must not be dyed, bleached (or modified in any other way) and come from a single donor. That's it.
So what happens when you take virgin hair and dye them? It becomes non-virgin hair.
Virgin Hair Extensions Advantages
– As we revealed earlier, the biggest advantage of virgin hair is that the hair was never processed.
– More times than not, virgin hair tends to be softer than Remy hair (Wigsbeautymall Remy products are as soft as virgin hair due to a special formula).
– Comes from a single donor.
Virgin Hair Extensions Disadvantages / Remy Hair Advantages
– Costs more than Remy hair
– Unless you are rocking color #1B (the most common color for virgin hair), you are out of luck as you will still have to dye or bleach them, which pretty much eliminates the point of virgin hair.
– Unless you are planning to buy ridiculous quality virgin hair with a price tag of more than $500, the Remy extensions are likely to be thicker than the virgin hair.
– Virgin hair is not processed, therefore, they could not be as tangle free as Remy hair.
Standard Remy vs. Virgin Hair Extensions
At the end of the day, it all comes down to the size of your wallet and your taste, but for the 99% of women, we would still recommend Remy human hair (even though we sell both). The reason?
– Our Remy hair are of better quality since we can use multiple donors to make perfect and even strands.
– Cheaper, thicker and as soft as virgin hair
– Higher color and styles variety
And here you have it if you are interested in weaves, see our virgin hair extensions page and for everyone else, see our Remy hair extensions page.

Can You Dye / Color or Iron / Curl Synthetic Hair Extensions?
If you are considering buying synthetic hair extensions or have already bought some but it does not exactly match your hair color, then the only likely solution is to dye them. However, the question is:
Can You Color or Dye Synthetic Hair Extensions?
While there are always new advancements when it comes to synthetic hair, the general consensus is that no, you cannot color any kind of synthetics. The reason is simple: since most of hair dyes contain ammonia or bleach, they will simply destroy your synthetic hair.
Can You Curl or Iron Synthetic Hair Extensions?
For cheapest synthetic hair, that’s not possible as well since the heat will simply melt the synthetic hair, making it a complete waste. So before buying synthetic hair, you’d better make sure that this is exactly what you want.
However, there are premium synthetic hair (usually costing more than our real hair) that can be treated using low heat.
What’s the Solution?
Truth to be told, there are actually some really cheap hair extensions (starting from $25) that are made of the real hair and that you can always dye, curl, straighten or do any kinds of modifications. So where can you get some? Head over to the Wigsbeautymall store and pick your attachments type, we will do the rest and ship your hair for free, saving you even more money.

Can You Get Curly Real Human Hair Extensions?
Now this question might seem pretty obvious to some of you but when you think about it, it does make sense. I mean, if you get curly hair, how exactly does the hair maintain its shape?
For synthetic hair, it all makes sense. The whole process of melting plastics and other chemicals is designed to produce the curly shape that will stay so for quite some time.
What about the real hair? Yes, you can get curly hair that is really. How? Believe it or not, it's actually pretty simple, here's how it works:
– We look for donors that naturally have curly hair
– If needed, we use tools (similar to those in the high end hair salons), we simply curl the hair and pack into a clean package.
Where's magic? There is no magic. If you were to constantly wash your curly extensions and even straighten them a bit, your curly hair would become wavy and then straight. Therefore, it is important to know that you need to take care of your newly acquired baby and don't expect for the extensions to keep the curly shape for a lifetime, unless you curl the hair!
Please note: some suppliers go for the 50/50 synthetic and real hair blend so be careful when shopping. Our hair is always made of 100% human hair, and if you are interested in our curly hair offerings, please visit Wigsbeautymall home page.

What Does “X Grams (g)” Of Hair Extensions Mean?
If you haven't purchased hair extensions before, then the whole buying process might seem overly complicated, especially when it comes to selecting hair.
Assuming you have already decided on the type of extensions you want, including length, the next thing that comes to everyone's mind is grams:
What Do These Grams Mean?
It's actually pretty simple. Grams indicate the weight of one strand (or a complete set).
For example: assuming extensions weight is 100 grams and there are 100 strands in the package, that makes it 1 gram per strand. Simple, right? However, that does not actually help as we need to know one more thing:
What Does Hair Extension Weight Mean?
As a general rule of thumb, the thicker the hair – the heavier it is, so the weight indicates strand / hair thickness, 1g / strand hair are much thicker than let’s say 0.5g / strand hair.
What's the Optimal Hair Extensions Weight?
While at the first thought everyone would want to have the thickest hair possible (2g / strand), that is actually not the correct answer. In fact, the optimal weight is only around 1g / strand, unless you want to risk of your own hair falling out and / or constant pressure on scalp as well as headaches.

Can You Sleep with Hair Extensions?
There are some do’s and don’ts when it comes to sleeping with your newly acquired hair, and it all depends on the type of extensions you have.
Please take a look at our list below where we cover pretty much all existing types.
Can You Sleep with Clip-In Hair Extensions?
As a general rule of thumb, it’s not recommend to sleep with clip-ins attached, mostly because the clips could break and after all, these extensions are designed for for those that want temporary results.
Can You Sleep with Keratin Hair Extensions?
Absolutely. Since Keratin extensions are attached using the most natural hot fusion method, there is no way for hair attachments to break or suffer any damage while sleeping.
Can You Sleep with Tape-In Hair Extensions?
The answer is also yes. Just like with Keratin hair, the hot fusion method ensures long lasting look. Just be sure to get a higher quality tape if you don’t want for it to fall out while you are asleep.
Can You Sleep with Stick / I Tip Hair Extensions?
Unlike the last two types we discussed above, stick extensions are attached without using any heat, which you would think could affect your sleeping regime. However, the good news is that yes, you can sleep with stick hair as well, as long as it was properly attached by a highly skilled stylist or a hair dresser.
Can You Sleep with Micro Ring Loop Hair Extensions?
While these extensions are attached using the cold fusion method as well, you can still sleep with them. The only thing that you need to remember is the fact that such extensions need to be re-adjusted from time to time. Otherwise, there is a risk of some strands falling out due to loose loops.
Can You Sleep with Weft Hair Extensions?
For wefts and sew-in hair, it all depends on the attachment type but the overall consensus (or 99% of the time) is that yes, you can safely sleep with such hair. Otherwise, it would be pretty inconvenient to take them out every single time you are going to bed.

What Are the Tape-in Hair Extensions? Advantages vs. Disadvantages
Tape-in hair extensions is one of the most popular hot fusion methods of increasing your hair’s length and volume, and below, you will find out why,
How Does It Work?
The attachment method is actually rather simple. As you might have guessed from the name itself, the hair strands are attached by placing a sticky tape (which is already pre-glued) near your hair roots.
Here’s how: you take one tape, place it near your roots, in between, you add your own hair and then place another tape on top of that, creating the “sandwich effect” (see our tape-ins page for the instructions). The newly acquire hair blends with your own, giving you more length and volume.
Tape-in Hair Extensions Advantages
– They are more flexible than clip-ins, since you can cut tape in half or even more, applying onto areas that need very little extra hair.
– You don’t have to hire a stylist to apply, a friend will do
– The whole process takes only around 20 minutes
– Transparent tape is hard to see (yes, Wigsbeautymall only sells tape-ins with transparent tape)
Tape-in Hair Extensions Disadvantages
– Cheaper quality hair (that come with non-transparent tape) are prone to falling out quickie
– You or someone else will feel the tape, assuming they brush your head, and no, we don’t mean the discomfort here
– Removing tape-in extensions requires a special liquid
Did any of these discourage you? If not, please check our tape-ins page and get the new look, right now.

Synthetic vs. Human Hair Extensions
What is the difference between synthetic and human hair extensions?
If you are on the edge on whether or not you should go with synthetic or real Remy human hair extensions, then here are some of the characteristics that should help you to lean towards one or another side.
There are actually quite few differences and as of 2016, the technologies of producing synthetic hair have very well surpassed those used in the late 00s.
For example: the more expensive synthetic hair can now be treated using a low to medium heat, something that was never heard of before.
How is the Synthetic Hair Made?
Synthetic hair ingredients include around 10-15 different chemicals (depending on the color and manufacturer) as well as “flexible” plastics, that are then blended together and processed through a special machine, which molds them into a hair like shape.
Synthetic vs. Human Hair Extensions
Now here is a shocker for you: synthetic hair can cost as much as real hair (unless you buy from “premium” brands that hike up the price).
For example: Wigsbeautymall's extensions (that are always made of 100% real Remy human hair) start only at around $26. Why so cheap? These are manufacturer prices, with special subsidies from the government and without any third party profits.
So the only “real” advantage that synthetic hair has had is price, which is no longer the case. However, as far as disadvantages go: real hair tends to last longer, can be dyed, bleached, curled, and treated using any reasonable temperature. In addition to that, real hair will always blend better with your own and won’t look like a bad quality wig.
Anything else? Yes, there are few syndetic hair advantages that we should mention: the shape will last longer and there will be no split ends, because you know, synthetic hair. However, assuming you go with Wigsbeautymall, there is little to no reason to wear plastic on your head.

Short on time?Cleanse just the areas where you’ll attach strips.Part your locks into sections according to Step 2. Pour alcohol on a cotton ball.Sweep it lightly across parting lines.Avoid overusing alcohol to prevent harsh dryness and root damage.
2.Section hair:Work with two mirrors or trade off extension application favors with friends. For longer or thicker additions, start one or two inches from your neck’s base.Part your lowest strands with a rat-tail comb in a straight horizontal stroke.Pin the upper hair on top of your head with the bottom hanging below. Just under the parting line, separate a thin segment matching the attachment’s width.
To add a few color highlights, draw a horizontal parting line just below your crown. Lower it if your hair is thin in that area. Also avoid wispy areas close to your face.Thicker sections prevent extensions’bonds from being visible.
3.Insert pieces: Warm tape with a flat iron. When starting from your neckline, stick the first extension on parted strands below the root enough to prevent scalp tension discomfort as hair moves.Keep affixing strips to complete the first horizontal row.On the second thin row above, position a narrow segment of your own hair to cover the first addition you placed slightly.Add another bundle over that section to sandwich your natural locks in between two extensions.
Rooted hair in the middle that's too thick will reduce the adhesive’s secure hold. Align top and bottom extensions’tape strips Press bundle bonds together firmly.Repeat more rows upward toward your crown, stopping when you achieve your desired look.Reverse the order for highlights, working downward to your neck.
After Attachment Care
Hair products:Maintenance begins with waiting 48 hours before washing attached extensions with sulfate-free shampoo.Condition your lower length, avoiding higher bonded areas to keep adhesive secure.Skip all oil-based hair care products that could loosen the tapes’hold.
Brushing:Careful regular brushing from ends to roots removes tangles.Lift up hair sections a few times per week to check for knots around bonds.Grab the lower part and brush it first without pulling on fastened tape.Be gentler as you move upward toward your scalp.
Styling:Blow-drying your mane on low will prevent tape-in bonds from weakening. They respond well to all heat tools including curling irons, and styling makes extensions look their best.Because they add volume, your own fine strands don’t undergo as much heat exposure to appear fuller.
Overnight:Sleep with completely dry hair in a ponytail or loose braid on a silk pillowcase to preserve your extensions'bonds while avoiding tangling and damage.
Coloring:Since WigsBeautyMall extensions are 100-percent human hair, you can color them along with your own tresses. But it’s better if you contact us to exchange them for the color you desire.
Duration:Most tape-in extensions can stay in place until hair grows 1.5-2 inches.A partial set that boosts volume without significant lengthening lasts 8-10 weeks.Going to extreme lengths with a full-head application averages three to four months.
Removal and Replacement
To continue your enhanced look, order WigsBeautyMall replacements before detaching your current set.Consider upgrading to custom tape hair extensions with exciting extra options. When they arrive, bundle removal is a fast, simple process. Applying an oil-based formula breaks down the adhesive,so strips peel gently away from your locks. Then start over with the cleaning and bonding steps above.

Blending Hair Extensions
First of all,you need to start by clipping your hair extensions in.Then you need to brush them with your extensions brush to make sure they blend really nicely with your own hair.To blend your hair your extensions perfectly,it’s a really good idea to straighten your own hair into your extensions. But be careful when straightening your hair since it can damage your extensions,so make sure to set the heat setting on low and don't overdo it!If you like, you can also curl your hair or style it whatever way you usually do it.When you finish this step, you'll notice your extensions are really blending nicely with your hair!
Make Your Extensions Look Natural

Instead of clipping your extensions in dead straight, tilt them back a little bit for a less blunt look.So just play around with different angles and you’ll see how it can transform your look.
How to Hide Your Hair Extensions
If you get really short, annoying pieces of hair around your neck that come from the lower back of your hair, that are ruining your look and giving away the fact that you’re wearing hair extensions, this is the trick for you.Pin the that hair up at the nape of your neck and then simply place your hair extension on the top. Problem solved!
Try Close Clipping
The last tip is clipping your hair extensions closer together. This really helps your extensions to have more natural, blended look if you have shorter layers around your face and also if you have shorter hair in general. So if you’re having trouble blending your extensions in,this is one trick that could really help you and make it look as if it’s your own hair.
Conclusion
I hope you found these tips and trick useful. If you want your hair extensions and your hair to look the best then definitely apply these tricks. We learned that one of the most important things is to make your hair extensions blend into your hair to create a natural flowing look.So be really careful when you place them and when you style your hair.

Clip-in, Tape and Keratin Hair Extensions for Black Women
What color, texture to get and where do you buy some?
As a proud African American, I was always fascinated by the texture and color of our hair, needless to say, it’s much different from your average European or Asian hair.
Our hair is thicker and harder to style. However, when it comes to buying hair extensions, the choice and color recommendations are somewhat on a shorter side (unless you dye your hair).
Below, we will list some of the color and texture recommendations that should suit most of the black women (myself included):
Hair Colors for African American Hair
#1, also known as Black
#1B, often referred as Off Black
#2, a very dark brown
Hair Textures for African American Hair
Light Yaki vs. Medium Yaki vs. Curly vs. Coarse Yaki
Light Yaki, it looks and feels like straightened hair, silkiest of them all
Medium Yaki, one of the least popular options, which has crimps
Curly, just your average curly hair, pretty self-explanatory
Coarse Yaki, a hair that is very textured and coarse
Clip-in vs. Tape-in vs. Keratin for Black Women
Now this one is up to you but if you would like to know more about the differences between these, check our hair extensions buying guide.

Six Hair Extension Myths Debunked
In this article, we're going to be debunking the most widespread hair extension myths. This article will be very helpful for you if you're thinking about buying hair extensions or you're looking to buy new hair extensions but you've had some bad experiences with them or you've heard some bad things about hair extensions. Hopefully, this will clear the air for you if you have any setbacks about buying your first set of hair extensions.
The reason why extensions are so popular, besides adding length< to your hair is because you can try out a different hair color without dying your hair. So if you have a darker hair color and you don't want to permanently dye your hair, you can always put an ombre set or a lighter hair color and blend it in and it looks like you have instant highlights or an ombre hair color. It's a great way to try out different hair color without any permanent changes. Hair extensions are also popular because of the unlimited hair styles you can do. Having extensions gives you so much variety for hairstyles like braids, voluminous curls or just any style that you've always wanted to try. It really gives you endless options and you can be creative with your hair.
When it comes to different types of hair extensions, there are a lot on the market, but the safest and simplest method of hair extensions are clip-ins. They can be taken in or out whenever you want. If you take care of them well, they can last for a really long time, more so than a permanent method.
Hair Extensions Damage Your Natural Hair
One of the biggest myths with hair extensions is that they'll leave your hair broken, damaged and extremely thin but that is definitely not the case. If the extensions are installed properly and you take very good care of your hair, you should have no worries of your hair being damaged by extensions.
Hair Extensions Won’t Blend in With Your Hair
Another misconception about hair extensions is that they won't blend in with your hair. Especially if you have thicker hair, it's definitely something you would consider, but there are different thicknesses of hair extensions so you can match your hair to whatever you think will blend the best.
My Hair Extensions Will be Showing
Another reason why people might be afraid of hair extensions is that they think they will be showing all the time and I promise you, they won't show at all if they are installed properly. So the advice is to never clip them in too close to the top of your head because then they might show if a gust of wind comes your way or if you're shaking your head. So you shouldn't go higher than your eyebrow, that way you will definitely ensure they won't be visible and nobody will ever know you're wearing hair extensions.
Hair Extensions are Uncomfortable to Wear
Some people may think that wearing this extra hair on your head will weigh it down and give you headaches and really make your head kind of itchy, but it's all in how you apply your extension. The best way of applying it is not clipping it directly to your scalp, but a bit lower so that it's moveable and holding on to a piece of hair rather than right on your head. You definitely won't have any problems this way and your hair will be flexible with hairstyles and you'll be able to move it into different directions.
Hair Extensions are Too Expensive
It's really important to note that you don't have to spend a lot of money on extensions. Of course, it is important to buy good quality extensions, but if you take really good care of them, they can last for a very long time and you can definitely get your money's worth. So the key is buying fair priced, high-quality extensions and making sure to take really good care of your extensions to that you can wear them for a very long period of time.
Hair Extensions are Hard to Maintain
This myth is quite common. A lot of people think that hair extensions just get really knotty and are hard to deal with after a while but with most hair extensions, if you take good care of them, they can last for so long. Just make sure to take care of them. You can read how to do that here.
