If you do not give proper care to your hair, then you are definitely bound to suffer from tremendous amount of frizz. It therefore bears repeating how important it is to give proper care and maintenance to your hair on a daily basis. With a few products, you should be able to enjoy beautiful hair that has lots of volume but without any frizz on your hair extensions.
The first step begins with proper combing technique. You can either use a wide tooth comb or invest in specialized combs designed for use on hair extensions. It is important to note that it is a major no-no to use brushes on your extensions as it will only encourage frizziness.
Meanwhile, you can spritz a small amount of hair spray to finish off styling your hair extensions. This will keep frizz at bay and allow the hair extensions to stay put.
Use a mild shampoo when washing your hair extensions on a weekly basis. Although daily or regular washing is not encouraged with hair extensions, you should definitely wash it to get rid of any product buildup. The residues from styling products can result to frizz formation.
If you find that the frizz is too much to handle, apply a thin layer of anti-frizz serum to your hair extensions. However, like any other styling products, it can also lead to product build up over time. Hence, you should only use the product when necessary and avoid putting too much.
